MBA rankings aren't the only measure of a good MBA school but they do form part of most student's decisions of which MBA to take. A number of different sources publish MBA rankings, the most well known of which are probably the Business Week MBA rankings in the US, the FT in Europe and USA and Asia Week in Asia.
US MBA RANKINGS - FT
Rankings for US MBAs published by the Financial Times January 2001. Part of their survey of the top 100 global MBAs, the 2001 survey places Wharton at number one, displacing last year's winner, Harvard Business School, to number two position. US MBA RANKINGS TOP 30- BUSINESS WEEK<
The Business Week MBA rankings are probably still the best known in the US. The 2000 rankings list the top 30 (tier 1) full time MBA schools in order and those in other "tiers" alphabetically. US MBA RANKINGS TIER 2 - BUSINESS WEEK
The Business Week tier 2 MBA rankings cover schools ranked 31 - 50, listed alphabetically

Bacterial DNA does not increase serum corticosterone concentration or prevent increases induced by other stimuli.

Bacterial DNA containing unmethylated CpG motifs (CpG DNA) and other microbial molecules such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) have a broad range of immune stimulatory effects, which may include many shared cell signaling pathways leading to enhanced cytokine production. Some cytokines activate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and their production is downregulated by products of the HPA axis (glucocorticoids). Because such interactions have practical implications in the clinical use of CpG DNA, the present study was done to examine the effects of CpG DNA and LPS on serum corticosterone concentrations. In contrast to LPS, administration of CpG DNA (DNA from Escherichia coli) (30-300 mic

In spite of the points made above, the value of DNA analysis cannot be dismissed. In fact, we must recognize that DNA analysis has successfully linked people of Jewish descent, even when mixing with local populations is likely. This raises questions about the apparent absence of genetic markers for Hebraic descent that we might expect or hope to find occasionally among the DNA of modern Native Americans. Torroni et al. (1993a) used RFLP analysis of Y-chromosomes to compare two Jewish groups, the Sephardim and Ashkenazim, with each other as well as Czechoslovaks and Lebanese. They found both groups of Jews to be similar to each other and quite different from the Czechoslovaks. But both Jewish groups were also closely related to Lebanese. Related conclusions came from Hammer et al. (2000), who found that a common pool of Y-chromosome haplotypes exist in Jewish and Middle Eastern non-Jewish populations, and that Jewish communities show relatively little evidence of paternal admixture. left by the killer on the murder weapon and on the victim’s body helped send a murderer to prison last week after previously clearing another man who confessed to the killing and had been indicted for it.
The involvement of Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation agents helped tie up the loose ends and ensure that justice was done.
Last week, a Licking County, Ohio jury found Christopher Williams guilty of aggravated murder in the slaying of 38-year-old Rhonda Boggs three years ago. The Pataskala woman died in front of her 2-year-old daughter after being stabbed 19 times in the chest and neck with a steak knife.
He was sentenced to the maximum term allowed by law, 48 years.
Several people from various sections of BCI played key roles in solving the particularly brutal slaying. Special Agent Gregg Costas testified last week during the trial that tests found Williams’ on the murder weapon and Boggs’s hand. He said that although Williams provided ju

Background: The recent ability of scientists to determine the structure of human DNA has created an explosion of research involving genetics, disease, evolution, and the origins of human population groups. The study of human origins is facilitated by analysis of DNA that is spared the complexity of the recombination. While most genes can come from either parent, such that the DNA from the parents is recombined in the child, some parts of human DNA are free from recombination. The mitochondria, small energy-producing structures in our cells, contain special DNA that is inherited only from the mother, without recombination with the DNA of the father. Analysis of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) shows DNA structures that have been passed along purely maternal lines, from mother to daughter over the generations. Such analysis has proven to be a useful tool for many purposes (Richards and Macaulay, 2001). Likewise, the Y chromosome in men is passed along paternal lines only. Analysis of Y chromoso
